- 1. If my child takes karate, will that make them more violent?
Absolutely not. From the very first day here at Karate Academy we teach children when to use martial arts and when not to.
- 2. What is the time commitment?
Karate sessions range from 30-45 minutes per session depending on their age level.
- 3. How does karate teach self-esteem?
We work with the children to teach them to smile from the inside and project a positive image to others. Our program is broken down into a series of challenges that become victories from positive goal setting. Confidence and leadership are natural by-products of Karate Academy's unique personal development system.
- 4. Is it true that karate teaches discipline?
We teach students to focus their energy in a positive direction. Students are rewarded for making good choices without having to be told.
- 5. Can we do this as a family?
We offer classes for all age groups, ability levels, and even a full family class schedule! Children that have parents take the program with them always do much better. Parents tell us they have fun while learning self-defense and staying in shape! A family that kicks together--sticks together!
